I thought I'd share these musings I scribbled down recently about the wonder of being airborne. Comment below: what is your favorite part about air travel? I hope you enjoy!

‘Reflections from the Window Seat

The sea an unfamiliar metal film

Outshining wrinkled land

To think this same and purer sun

A brilliant glare upon the wing

Illuminates the sand

A wonder incomparable, this weight

With surging power soars

And passes by the miles beneath

Aloof to all our lofty fears

And leagues below, our wars

So long behind, the ancients only guessed

The awe of great made small

Of gazing at reflected light

Suspended between globe and night

With death to break your fall
