Poem: The Shepherd

Summer slips away and I leave for college in under two weeks! Life is pretty hectic right now, but I wanted to share my favorite poem I wrote in April. This poem was born from difficult experiences and inspiration from a dear friend. I hope you enjoy!

The Shepherd

He guided galaxies from emptiness by His commands

And watches over bordered time and space

A river grants unbordered life to arid sands

The source, His wounded side; the sun, His face.

Bright pastures flourish in the darkest lands

He weaves untoiling lilies swaths of lace

He gathers up a stupid little sheep with scar-worn hands

And holds it to His heart, a resting place
