Perhaps I've been cooped inside a little too long...

Yonder Meadow Day #11

You may stare into the canyon and defy its shocking depth

Or may sit beside the creek within the valley

But I would rather meet you where the wind can have its way

On the swelling waves of earth in yonder meadow

Yes the forest is a heaven if you’re looking to explore

And the mountains give a haven and shelter

But let when next I see you be through rippled greening sway

On the swelling waves of earth in yonder meadow

We may gaze over the ocean and admire the endless blue

Or delight in garden walks and tended farmland

But we can run unhindered through the wide horizoned day

On the swelling waves of earth in yonder meadow
