Poetry Month #25: (Trig)gered

I took an online standardized test today.
Math and I don't get along very well in general, so I've been preparing especially for concepts on the practice tests that were difficult. A lot of these were trigonometry concepts.
And if math and I have a strained relationship, my relationship with trig can be represented by the following equation:
trig(me) = math(me) + 10,000(frustration + confusion)
Anyways, I prepped hard to overcome that, and was feeling pretty good about it, and then there were all sorts of new, non-trig concepts I didn't understand in the test.
Oh well.
Trig(gered)
Oh trigonometry!
What can I call you but mine enemy?
I never thought I’d so desire more of you
But though a foe, you are not one unknown to me
Oh trigonometry!
You who I studied endlessly to comprehend
Thus to defeat by strategies upending you
Through chanting sohcahtoa to a great victorious end
Oh trigonometry!
How is it I despair your absence so lamentingly,
These adversaries are less skilled, yet lesser known than you,
And wish for you above even geometry!
Oh trigonometry!
So many problems lacking you I stared a blank
Since I’d engaged my time anticipating you
For these mistakes your scarceness is to thank
Oh trigonometry!
I must accept albeit unwillingly
I love you not, yet still I longed for you
In dignity to match your tactics skillfully
Oh trigonometry!
This is one of my favorites. I feel your pain :)
This is a great one! I haven't been able to keep up with the 'daily' part, but I'm glad you have!
