Not much introduction needed here. Yesterday I didn't like my poem, so I chose not to post it. Today I reverted to fruit, again.
This is a Japanese form called a Tanka.
(Can you tell I'm not a night person?)
Grapefruit
Poor grapefruit so scorned
Smothered with shame and sugar
But if one just tastes
With a less demanding tongue
Her subtle sweetness rewards
