Ok, hi everyone!
Yesterday I didn't post because I felt like the poem could be easily misunderstood, and it's just a more personal topic.
Today's though, was so much fun! I did the NaPoWriMo prompt, which was to write a poem based on a news article, preferably something wacky. My poem is based on these two articles:
This poetic form is called a Pantoum, a french repeating form similar to a Villanelle that I'd never heard of until today. Hope you enjoy!
Wild Reign
Avert your eyes and hurry on
Sunny streets are dry and bleak
Humans shelter on their lawns
Wild things play hide and seek
Sunny streets are dry and bleak
Unearthly noises from the park
Wild things play hide and seek
As the humans distant hark
Unearthly noises from the park
Horns above the hedge protrude
As the humans distant hark
Creatures nibbling city food
Playground solely their domain
Humans shelter on their lawns
Downtown bows to wild reign
Avert your eyes and hurry on
