Ok, hi everyone!


Yesterday I didn't post because I felt like the poem could be easily misunderstood, and it's just a more personal topic.


Today's though, was so much fun! I did the NaPoWriMo prompt, which was to write a poem based on a news article, preferably something wacky. My poem is based on these two articles:



This poetic form is called a Pantoum, a french repeating form similar to a Villanelle that I'd never heard of until today. Hope you enjoy!


Wild Reign Avert your eyes and hurry on Sunny streets are dry and bleak Humans shelter on their lawns Wild things play hide and seek Sunny streets are dry and bleak Unearthly noises from the park Wild things play hide and seek As the humans distant hark Unearthly noises from the park Horns above the hedge protrude As the humans distant hark Creatures nibbling city food Playground solely their domain Humans shelter on their lawns Downtown bows to wild reign Avert your eyes and hurry on
